Privacy

The short version: you can use the Planner without telling us anything, and organisers never learn who you are.

Without an account

Searching and browsing need no account. Your choices live in the page address, not in a profile. We set one first-party cookie with a random ID so we can count visits and avoid double-counting — it identifies a browser session, not a person, and is never shared. There are no advertising or third-party cookies, and no tracking scripts.

If you sign in

• Your email address, to sign you in. No password is stored.
• What you save to My Week and your favourites.
• Family members: an optional first name and a date of birth, so we can match ages. We never ask for surnames, schools, photos or medical information.

Only you can see this. Our own admins cannot read your family or your week — the database enforces it.

What organisers see

Only totals — for example, how many people viewed an activity or added it to their week. Never your name, your children, their ages, your week or your calendar. When you follow a link to an organiser’s website, the link says it came from The Grantham Planner and nothing about you.

Location

If you use your location or a postcode, it’s used to measure distance for that search. A shared location is rounded to about 100 metres. When a search finds nothing, we record the postcode district (like “NG31”) — never the full postcode — so we can see what the area is missing.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from your account page. Your week, favourites and family details are removed with it.
