The walk

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome throughout the garden and park except the adventure playground; not in the house or tearoom, but at the outdoor tables of the visitor hub, bistro and bar. The seven trails — Spiral Walk, Rose Garden Walk, Japanese Woodland Walk, Duchess Garden Walk, Hermit’s Garden Walk, the Duke’s Walk and Frog Hollow — run through formal gardens and woodland; lengths are not published, so allow an hour or two.

Conditions can change. Keep dogs under appropriate control, close gates, and follow local signage. This is a guide to where to go, not a navigation app.
