Burghley’s Christmas Fair fills the courtyards and grounds with festive chalets, pagodas and marquees: over 150 stalls of artisan gifts, handmade decorations and homewares, plus food and drink from mulled wine and hot chocolate to raclette and crêpes, and a ride on a traditional Victorian carousel. Thursday and Sunday 9.30am–4pm; Friday and Saturday 9.30am–7.30pm. Standard tickets £15 adult, £5 child (3–15); flexi tickets £20/£8. Tickets must be booked in advance — none on the gate. Standard and accessible parking is free. Burghley advises against bringing dogs to this busy event; any dog must be on a lead.
